Embedding sustainability

As a new-generation residential agency, we’re embedding sustainability into everything we do: from the homes we lease, to the campaigns we run and the choices we make as a business.  For us, sustainability is a mindset — backed by action, measurable progress and a responsibility to lead by example.

Environmental

We’re proud to have achieved 100% renewable energy in our central office. We also have paper-free, waste reduction and carbon cutting initiatives across all out sites. We employ green procurement standards and sustainable supply chains. We further cut use of paper and physical assets by using digital-only leasing and marketing via our RenterAI platform. The company has strict Net Zero targets across all business operations. Finally, we’re passionate about our long-standing support for urban re-wilding through the Trees for Cities initiative.

We continue to benefit from a diverse workforce. This is backed up by an open, inclusive hiring policy. Staff are entitled to two, paid volunteer days each year. We are on track to raise £30,000 for St Mungo’s this year and continue our support of homelessness initiatives both locally and nationally. We’re an active member of the Women’s Night Safety Charter steering group and have 10+ years supporting local community projects and urban wellbeing. Resident data and feedback loops are embedded across all portfolios.

Governance

We ensure a fair and transparent tendering processes for all suppliers and service providers. 63% of our staff identify as women. We are very proud to report that 100% of salaries were paid through the pandemic, with zero furlough – underpinning our commitment to our people. We have strong ESG reporting frameworks and measurable impact metrics. Meanwhile, we are in the process of becoming a Certified B Corporation. Our leadership team have an active and accountable role in sustainability and ethical performance practices.

People

We have a strong commitment to equal opportunities, representation and progression. The London and national living wage is paid as standard and we support progression through internal training and up-skilling programmes. There is a culture of innovation, respect and collaborative leadership promoted here. We also do whatever we can to promote better mental wellness, including supportive policies for flexible work, family leave and mental health.

Compliance

There are comprehensive health and safety protocols across all sites. Risk management is embedded into all operations and mobilisation plans. Data protection and cybersecurity protocols are aligned with best practice guidelines within the industry and beyond. We undertake regular policy reviews and compliance training internally. Our residents are supported through proactive communications for wellbeing and support, with confidence that their homes are safe, secure and well-maintained.
